SF from Africa
A few months ago I blogged at Words Without Borders about The Apex Book of World SF—an intriguingly varied collection, though it included nothing from Africa.
Now the table of contents for volume 2 has been released, and Matthew Cheney at The Mumpsimus is excited about it.
What I’m excited about is that it features five African authors, of whom the only one I know is Nnedi Okorafor, author of Who Fears Death.
Ivor W. Hartmann (Zimbabwe)–Mr. Goop
Daliso Chaponda (Malawi)–Trees of Bone
Lauren Beukes (South Africa)–Branded
Tade Thompson (Nigeria)–Shadow
Nnedi Okorafor (Nigeria/US)–From the Lost Diary of TreeFrog7
I can’t wait!
